DZone - The Evolution of DZone

5th September 08 : It was my classmate’s Devesh’s party, as he had got placed in Sasken Technologies, the world leader in embedded system n microchip designing.
All our classmates (guys only, after all, gals don’t come at night LOL) and many of his friends had gathered at his place for the party. After a heavy dinner, I along with a few others decided to stay back at his place, over night.
25th August ’08 : We came to college and saw the posters bearing Thunderbirds everywhere. What does that mean? No one, atleast I didn’t have any idea what it was. Later, It was revealed that a few students of our class had formed a group called Thunderbirds to conduct events in the college. So, many students, including me (of course me, that’s why I am writing this), felt offended as how can these people do this without telling anyone. After all we all are classmates, they should have had a good discussion over it.
Back to 5th September 08: 12:00 midnight:
Everybody had slept till then except my classmate Rajesh and me. Rajesh and I were talking on this Thunderbirds. Devesh was busy in his some USUAL work.

“What the fuck? How can these lamers do this. They haven't even bothered to have us also with them. After all we all are from the same class. They didn't even inform us being our classmates before all this decision.”

“True, this is simply ridiculous. They can't go alone. Rather, they shouldn't go alone. It had been a lot better if all of us had been working together.”

“Yeah, but one thing that I admire is that atleast they are doing a good job anyhow if they succeed.”

“They haven’t contacted us, because if they had done, they would have gone unnoticed, this is for sure.”

“Very True. Holy Shit. We have to get into a healthy competition with them and let us super pass them.”

“Let us also do some thing. Something different, Let's show them that they had done a wrong job by starting on their own.”

“What exactly?”

“Well it should not be any routine quiz or exam or game. Some what different. What about a tutorial class? ”

“Fantastic. But what will we teach? And 1 important thing, it shall have to be free of cost. No registration fees at all. Beat Thunderbirds here as well.”

“Sure. 100%. But, whom to teach, what to teach, we shall decide this later, after we get the permission to organize such a workshop.”

“Yeah, the teacher might doubt us for the groupings.”

“Definitely, they will. We will have to convince them well enough.”

My sincere apologies to anyone and everyone who so ever might feel offended with this post. This is completely my opinion and others may or may not agree with it. I have stated all truth. But i don't want any controversies to go further.

exactly...arpit's comment is wat he thinks of it..n as far as i think this act of few people is kind of crime...
nething n everything u feel like doin which represnts a class at college level..u should inform it to ur batchmates atleast..as it may be at time can be a question of self respect n pride..so thumbs-up to arpit..
but bro see to it that u don't invite quarrels n disaster on a whole..

An awesome blog really...............it's really cover all the aspects leading towards good n bad trivia....
but i think the zyst of whole story from rivalry, arrogance, fake attitude n ends at nothing. i m writing this comment as i m deeply penetrated with the act n inact wriiten by you.
there are so many lines in your blog which reflects ambiguous thoughts.i think you possess a good brain n shud make it work always in bridging the distances....with this approach u can really do wonders . i m ur well wisher and want from u to perform miraculous job.
after reading the blog's part i actually came to know that it was just a revenge by an avenger.....nothing great about it.
i m very sorry to say that nobody can feel gud after having a read.now i feel that it was a mistake from ourside that we manage n try ourlevel best to form a technical group of CS 4 year(thunderbird n DZOne).now i n my colleagues feel that we shud dissolve this group.........n not encourage such activities in future.

"All is fair in love and war, and this definitely wasn’t love by any means. I loved their diplomacy."

"Later was PHP, by Anant and Anurag, our classmates (and also the owner of Thunderbirds. We counted them just to avoid teachers suspecting us for grouping. Damn POLITICS. I hate that but at times you just have to do what you really hate."

***** I THINK....ALTHOUGH U POSSESS
EGO....ARROGANCE..... ATTITUDE.BUT........THERE IS CHANCE TO SUCCEED EVEN.AS U HAVE WRITTEN................................................SO KEEP FIGHTING NOT TO DEFEAT OTHERS BUT FOR VICTORY OF PURELY YOURS.

READ....................THIS ONE

"We had started DZone to compete with ThunderBirds, but now, we had forgotten about that rivalry. Instead, it was soothing to see that some thing good is happening and our juniors are learning from this. "

Hmmm....its a very-very long blog post...padhte-2 thak gaye....

While reading this post i felt that still there is a rivalry in ur batch which is.....till date grown very much....

But besides this, i appreciate ur efforts, hardwork, intelligence,
enthuiasm n attitude to never give up...

I think overall Dzone workshop was gud except some of the ppt's like that of c(Pointer, DS) n File handling which i think needed more practical aspects....

Next time i wud like to see something bigger n better from ur Whole CSE-4th Yr batch ....

U all r always welcome any of endaveours u need from Faculty's side......

well, manish sir n anuj sir, i m really sorry for all those acts but we were forced to do so. i hope u are familiar with the rival act that started from that orkut album.

i had never wanted any such groupings to creep in ourselves, but unfortunately it has. i had always seeked to have a united CS-4th year, but i am absolutely unclear and have no idea what-so-ever why these guys stay away from the few of us and why do they take these decisions on their own when they're representing a whole class on a higher level. they should have always discussed their idea of having some fruitful events, in the college.

@manish sir
if u remember, when we started the C-FORUM in 2nd year, i went to each of them, and they did not co-operate and said a simple NO...!!

After the successful completion of Online Quiz(by Thunderbirds of CS 4th Yr),one more group(DZone-Same batch) enters the battlefield with some innovative plans...Even though the motive was to compete with rival group, even then both Groups maintained the standard of their Events n organized it in a fruitful manner without any havoc n problems..

Now coming to post:
1st of all...I wud like to give 2-Thumps Up to the title of post- DZone-Evolution, Reloaded n Revolution....Wow..Matrix yaad aa gayi...too gud...

Now 2nd gud thing is the IDEA behind conducting Technical workshops instd of same Routine events as its helps the Juniors to enhance their technical skills n also helps them in their projects.

PPTs were gud on 1st day although some practical aspect left untouched....2nd day was damn gud as they managed to explain the concepts with some practicals. Sometimes it feels really gud to attend classes n workshops conducted by our students..... Thank God i didn't find their lectures dull n boring as i used to find it in my college days..

Now coming to the Rivalry stated in the post...
I wud like to say only 1 thing..They both fought with each other but in the end Both grp managed to conquer n win the battle coz both these groups managed to win the hearts of many junior students n faculty members with their Efforts n hardwork..

Being a faculty ,i wud like to encourage such activities in near future , although this time i want something more bigger n better
(as stated by Anuj sir) n it shud b conducted by both the rivals group together...

Wht say guys....?????

Arpit Gaur said...

hmmm.. sir, i m always ready to work together.. they started in a different group. i never did so...
hope that u will see us together in the next event..
well, i can only hope n give my willingness to this, rest is their wish...

well, promise done from my side, rest their choice...

well that was a too long post i must say...nevertheless....it sounded a bit rude..but then again its ur personal opinion....in clg life these thngs happen too often ....but as per me this class groupings and rivalries are too childish too b taken seriuosly...at this stage we are above this level.thats my personal opinion...no offense
